Lamis Al Hakim
Photography is my hobby.
I remember sitting on the shore of Ramlet El Bayda in Beirut — a city full of contrasts and contradictions. I took out my camera to capture a moment, even though I barely knew how to use it back then. Over time, I learned that what truly mattered wasn’t the device itself, but the story behind each image. Photography has since become a personal journey — a way of seeing and feeling the world. Through my lens, I connect with people, emotions, and fleeting moments that often go unnoticed. I’m drawn to faces that tell stories without words and to scenes that hold quiet beauty in their imperfection. My camera has become more than a tool; it’s a companion that helps me translate emotion into image.
I graduated from the Lebanese University with a degree in Fine Arts and began my career teaching art. I later taught MYP Digital Design and DP Digital Society for three years, which deepened my passion for blending creativity and technology. Today, I serve as a Technology Coordinator, continuing to explore how art and innovation intersect.
My journey in photography began in 2015. Since then, I’ve participated in several exhibitions and contests, and was honored to be a finalist for the Byblos Bank Award for Photography in both 2017 and 2018. Each photograph I take is a reflection of curiosity, emotion, and the stories that connect us all.
