Travel photography: Croatia, Dubrovnik!

It’s been a lot of pleasure sharing my Croatian travel experiences! My buddies and I chose a spot we really wanted to visit because this was our “last hurrah” trip. Our choice was Dubrovnik, which we adored so much that we expressed an interest in returning to later!

Inside Dubrovnik Walls

The Dubrovnik Walls
The Dubrovnik Walls, which date from the 13th century, have an elegant facade. The Pile Gate, the Ploce Gate, the Peskarija Gate, and the Ponta Gate used to be the four gates that led into Dubrovnik.

Minceta Tower
A symbol of the “unconquerable” city of Dubrovnik. Originally as a strong four-sided fort, it is the most prominent point in the defensive system towards the land. The tower’s name derives from the name of the Mencetic family, who owned the ground upon which the tower was built.

Photo War Limited

What strikes me the most in this photo, not the war captured by the lenses of the photographers, but the captured scene within the walls of Dubrovnik with all those doves flying around!

Walking around

The location of our Airbnb was in the midst of Dubruvnik, Croatia’s medieval city center. Although I generally prefer staying in really bright and airy places, we welcomed the cool shade of our apartment for the week. It was such a lovely respite from the summer heat.

We enjoyed walking around Dubrovnik walls where we encountered different stunning hidden houses.
